Opening yourself up to a portal of universal current is only advantageous when you are able to channel it. Breath work and meditation are techniques of channeling attention to increase consciousness, alter emotional states and attend to personal chemistry. In this practice we move the breath through the map of the glands and their metaphorical associations, ending with a short seated meditation that wraps us in the cocoon of our breath.
