Knee on the floor,  foot in the wall  is a preparation for more intense or challenging backbends, twists and forward bends. It can be used as a sequence in and of itself, or as an appetizer for a longer yoga practice. The sequence demands that our lower body becomes available as a stable foundation from which the whole practice rises off of, rests upon and returns to.
